After spending years in the medical industry, I decided to blog about my thoughts on a wide range of issues in the healthcare industry, science, and skepticism. I am a firm supporter of science-based medicine. I will debunk quackery and pseudoscience whenever possible. Oh, and I'll talk about sports. Nothing I write should be construed as medical advice. No one should receive a medical diagnosis or treatment recommendation over the internet. That should always be done by a licensed medical practitioner who has been well-versed in evidence- and science-based medicine, and who can provide an appropriate diagnosis, then discuss your particular medical treatment options. All decisions about vaccines should be done after a discussion with a licensed physician, LPN or PA who utilizes evidence-based medicine. Please comment on a post if you agree, disagree, or just think I misspelled a word. It's what makes blogging fun and thought-provoking. Thank you for visiting this website.
Skepticism is not doubt, disbelief, or close-mindedness. It is not being negative about every new or controversial idea. Skepticism is a process of critical thinking, reason, and evidence to determine the validity of an hypothesis. It is a rational and an openminded process to find a conclusion that is supported by evidence. It is never used to justify a preconceived conclusion. It is never used to irrationally reject evidence based on a personal desire for only one conclusion.
