I have a history of listing the top 10 most-viewed articles that I have written, and in 2025, I continue my New Year’s tradition. I enjoy browsing through the articles that have garnered the most interest from readers on this website.
Surprisingly, the number one article is about vaccines, of course. I thought people were tired of reading about how the US vaccine system is getting demolished by the Trump administration. Thankfully, that’s not true.
Since I don’t sit at my laptop counting every person that reads an article (I have a life, you know), I rely on Jetpack, which provides real-time and historical analytics for my website.
Here we go in reverse order.

Number 10
Researchers have found that nearly all cases of lupus are associated with the Epstein-Barr virus. We could use a vaccine for the virus.
Number 9
There is evidence that the shingles vaccine delays the onset of dementia in seniors. This is the first of several articles where I discuss the effect of vaccines on dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. It’s also important to point out that the vaccine does not directly affect the onset of dementia, but it prevents infectious diseases that appear to increase the risk and development of dementia.
Number 8
A study showed that adenovirus-based COVID vaccines increased the risk of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), an autoimmune neurological disorder. However, mRNA COVID vaccines showed a lower risk of GBS compared to unvaccinated individuals. However, vaccinated individuals who received either type of COVID vaccine were linked to a much lower risk of GBS compared to unvaccinated individuals who had COVID.
Number 7
Another study shows that the shingles vaccine is linked to a reduced risk of heart attacks, dementia, and death. Once you’re at the eligible age to receive the vaccine, get it. It will help you live longer and healthier. Plus, shingles is a nasty disease.
Number 6
Russian researchers claimed that the COVID mRNA vaccines were linked to higher rates of cancer. Of course, anti-vaccine activists jumped on the article. Unfortunately for them, the research was nonsense.
Number 5
HHS Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr claimed that Europe does not use the chickenpox vaccine. And once again, he is wrong.
Number 4
Robert F Kennedy Jr is a regular target of my writing. In this article, I discuss how he denies all of the powerful science about the safety and effectiveness of the COVID vaccines.
Number 3
Another article that the shingles vaccine is linked to a reduced risk of heart attacks and strokes. Again, the vaccine does not prevent heart attacks and stroke; it prevents shingles, which may increase the risk of those conditions.

Number 2
This was one of my favorite articles to write. A company claimed that they brought the extinct dire wolf back to life, but they really didn’t. They gave us a regular extant wolf with a handful of dire wolf genes. Interesting, but they did not de-extinct anything, but that didn’t stop the internet from being flooded with articles that we brought back the dire wolf.
Number 1
Four vaccines — flu, RSV, shingles, and Tdap — reduce the risk of dementia. As you age, you should make sure you are up-to-date on each of these vaccines, because they may help you delay or even avoid dementia.
One more article
A 2018 article, written by Professor Dorit Rubinstein Reiss, about the tragic death of Jessica Ericzon, ended up being in the top 10 for 2025. Jessica’s parents tried to claim that her death was a result of the HPV vaccine, but the evidence never supported these claims. I’m not sure why this had so many views in 2025, but I think a lot of people search for specific names associated with vaccines to find a link between those vaccines and some tragedy.

Happy New Year
I can only hope that 2026 is better than 2025 with respect to vaccines. But the war on science probably will not go away with a change in calendars. There are a lot of issues happening with vaccines, including a wholesale change in the vaccine schedule for children.
But a New Year starts with hope. I just hope that it doesn’t go away after two or three days.
